FOX Business is a free iPad app that allows you to read the latest business and financial news, watch videos from the FOX business channel, and keep track of your stock portfolio. With its extensive content and intuitive user interface, this app is a must-own for anyone interested in business and financial news.
There are three main sections in this app: video, news and your stock portfolio, which they call My Money. The home page has a ton of information that’s nicely displayed and well-organized. You are presented with a graph of the selected stock, the latest news stories and the major stock summaries. Everything is interactive, allowing you to really feel like the app is your little command center of financial and business information. News stories quickly pop up on screen, and the stock graphs can be displayed by day, week, month and year. All of the important information is at your fingertips.
Videos are a pleasure to watch in this app. They each load quickly, and you can even read other news stories or examine stock charts while a video is playing in the background. The app itself seems to be a multi-tasking tool, and everything simply works well.
Probably one of the most powerful features of the app is the ability to track your own stock portfolio. You can add all of your important stocks, and track them with stock alerts. You have the option to set alerts for when a stock hits a predefined low or high price. You can even compare multiple stocks (up to four), and view their information in chart form on the same screen.
The app did crash on me when tapping on some video thumbnails, but it only happened once. Overall, it seems very stable, and everything runs smoothly. This is absolutely an application worth keeping on your device. It’s incredibly useful, it’s free, and there are no ads to be found.
