Fresh iPhone Apps for Feb. 4: Lifelike Craig HD, TweetBeat, iProfile Image

If you’re an iPad owner, you’ll want to check out Lifelike Craig, an app that aggregates Craigslist listings into a magazine-like presentation. It heads up today’s Fresh Apps list, and we’ve got a few other interesting apps — a Twitter client that’s focused on news, and an app that’ll help you make a very cool Facebook profile picture. All the details are below.

Lifelike Craig HD update (iPad) $1.99

Among the coolest iPad apps are those that turn the tablet into a publication platform, the way apps such as Flipboard do. Those apps utilize RSS and Twitter feeds to populate the virtual pages of their apps; Likelike Craig uses items found on Craigslist to create classified ad pages.

If that wasn’t already cool enough, Lifelike Craig has recently been updated with new features. You can post to Craigslist using single or multiple accounts (or even none), save your searches, and manage your account from within the app itself.

TweetBeat (iPhone) Free

A news-focused Twitter client, Tweetbeat pays attention to the Twitterverse and filters the stream based on the latest big headlines. It first gives you large summary headlines of events that are taking place in the world and garnering a lot of attention. Choose the one you want, and the app grabs the latest headlines from new organizations that are being pushed across Twitter.

You can choose to read the stories tied to the headlines, or you can jump to a live stream to see what’s being said about those top news stories. Tweetbeat is the kind of app that you’d want during a major news event, like the protests going on in Egypt this week, helping you to keep extremely current on events that are being shared and news that’s being broken on Twitter.

iProfile Image for Facebook (iPhone) Free

Facebook recently added a new “Photostream” feature to users’ profiles, and if you’re a little bit Facebook-savvy, you can actually use all those slots with a single big photo to create a cool effect. But you don’t have to necessarily know the ins and outs of Facebook in order to have full control of your profile photos — you just need iProfile Image.

The free version of the app that was recently released allows you to assign photos from your iPhone’s Camera Roll to your Facebook profile. You can’t use the photos already on your Facebook profile, unfortunately, but you can take new photos and use them, instead.
