Fresh iPhone Apps for Mar. 7: Steven Tyler AppSoLewdly, Bill Cosby, Flypost

A couple of famous performers, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and comedian Bill Cosby, have iPhone apps of their own. Both are filled with cool multimedia features for fans and take the top spots on today’s Fresh Apps list. We also have all the dirt on Flypost, a social media app that lets you find out what’s going on in your area by reading fliers posted by other users.

Steven Tyler AppSoLewdly (iPhone, iPad) $2.99

Need more Steven Tyler in your life? The Aerosmith frontman now has an iPhone and iPad app designed to keep you tuned into Tyler at all times. It’s not quite as robust as Bill Cosby’s official app below, but it still packs a great deal of features, like video and photos and even a Steven Tyler trivia section.

You get the standard Tyler media features in the video and photo sections, but AppSoLewdly stands apart by including a Steven Tyler soundboard, as well. It’s packed full of 12 of Tyler’s famous phrases and sounds like “Yakakakakau!” The app also features Tyler’s updates on his life and his time spent on the set of American Idol.

Bill Cosby (iPhone, iPad) Free

Comedy legend Bill Cosby finally has his own mobile app, and while you might not think you were waiting for such a thing, you should get excited anyway. Cosby fans will find a wealth of cool features in this official Cosby hub, ranging from photos to video, audio books, social media integration and biography information.

The best part of the app is undoubtedly its video clips from Cosby’s appearances and stand-up acts, which stream over a Wi-Fi Internet connection. But almost just as good are the three Cosby audio books included with the app: Come On People, Fatherhood and Friends of a Feather. There’s also a Cosby news stream and a list of upcoming appearances that make buying tickets quick and easy.

Flypost (iPhone) Free

A social networking meant to let you know what’s going on in your community, Flypost is basically like a big online bulletin board of fliers near you. You can read through posts in your area organized by type, view where they are on a map, and use them to determine what events are taking place in your neighborhood that you can attend.

You can also contribute to the online community by adding posts of your own. You can specify your category and type the post up quickly to share it with the rest of your local community, announcing an event or whatever. You can also integrate your Facebook and Twitter accounts to share your news there, as well.
